Flushing Summer Fun Show 2015
Flushing Village Club’s second Summer “Fun” Show was held on Sunday. The event caused quite a stir in the village with more people attending and more entrants than the previous year leading to more funds for the club being raised…. so altogether was deemed a great success. The hall, extended into the Snooker Room, was a great venue for the event, teas, coffees and cakes were served and even the sun came out on cue.
The winners were Ali son Ward for the overall best in show with her delightful floral arrangement entitled “Glorious Cornwall “featuring not only the Cornish flag and gold flowers, but also granite rocks and a pasty! Other prize winners included Jill Claringbold- Best Adult and Lottie Trevaskas -Best Child entry with John Symons the cup for tallest sunflower – impressively over 8ft! The ladies of the Craft Group which meet currently on a Tuesday evening also did a display of their work which was well received and the club hope to attract new members to their group as a result.
Below are some photos from the successful day.
